Sony PlayStation Vita Revealed
News — On November 2, 2011 at 6:57 amFollowing the success of the PlayStation Portable, which was revealed in the month of May in 2004, the company has now unveiled the next version of handheld gaming console known as PlayStation Vita. After much speculation and rumor, Sony finally revealed the PS, which was originally code named Next Generation Portable with quite a few brilliant features and specifications. The Vita was originally revealed at E3 2011 press conference of the company. It is the new version of handheld gaming console, which provides dual analog sticks, five-inch LED multitouch display, optional 3G and Bluetooth functionality.

The all new PlayStation Vita also supports social networking applications like PlayStation 4, including foursquare, Facebook, Twitter and Skype, which is available for download for free from PS store. Its five-inch multitouch capacitive and responsive display boasts pixel density of 220ppi and 960 x 540 pixel resolution. It also comes with quad core ARM Cortex-A9 MP core processor and quad core SGX543MP4 + GPU. The Vita also sports a Six-axis system – three-axis gyroscope and three-axis accelerometer. Apart from these features, the Vita offers three-axis compass with integrated GPS and Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity options. The device supports backwards compatible PlayStation Portable downloadable titles, comics, PlayStation minis, videos, PlayStation Suite games and PSOne Classis from PS store. The 3G version is available for the price of $299.99, while the other for $249.99.
