Digital watches are going through resurgence thanks to the emerging technology. Casio and Timex are the two bigwigs in the world of watches and other manufacturers are trying hard to make a cut in the market ahead of these two brands. Phosphor Watches have been making watches based on E-ink displays since a long time and they released World Time recently. This watch has curved E Ink display which is form fitted on the user’s wrist. This watch is recommended for digital connoisseur looking at the extreme contrast and the ability of tracking any time zone.

The most attractive feature of the Phosphor World Time E Ink Watch is the electronic paper display which is made by E Ink. The consumes less power and gives high contrast making it look just like a printed paper. This screen is really good and is viewable from any angle. You can see it in low light conditions too. This screen is the same as that of the Amazon’s Kindle device.

Phosphor World Time E Ink Watch works very well as a watch. The ‘gizmo’ gives a good example of a clean design with the simple one button interface and curved case. The button is in fact a rocker switch which can be pressed from either side. The left side changes the contrast of the screen (either white text on black or reverse black on white). Through the right side, you can cycle through various display modes which display the time as large, small, time plus world time, just world time, and the time along with calendar. My review model had a polyurethane black strap which is comfortable, stylish and flexible.

Seiko is another company which is working on watches based on E ink technology and they will be announcing some products soon. However, Phosphor is already out with theirs and I was glad to see that the Phosphor World Time E Ink Watch is offered at a very affordable price. The company is selling the watch from their Website directly. You’ll have to pay $195 for stainless steel bracelet, $165 for leather strap, and $150 for rubber strap.

I have reviewed Phosphor watches before and my expectations are always high from this company. This watch didn’t disappoint at all from the quality front. It is user friendly, tech-savvy and stylish. Also, I would like to thank the manufacturer for sending me a watch for review.
