Sony PRS-350 E-Reader – Practical and Stunning E-Reader
Sony hasn’t outdone anyone in the e-reader battle, but that doesn’t seem to be the case after the release of Sony PRS-350 E-Reader. The Sony PRS-350 E-Reader is a pocketsize e-reader from Sony, and right from the very first look at the system it becomes pretty clear that Sony wanted to develop a stunning, travel-friendly, idiot-simple e-reader for the normal crowd.
Unluckily, although, the Sony PRS-350 E-Reader hits the bulls-eye on many aspects, we still think that there are still a lot of areas to complain.
As far as hardware is concerned, we will say that Sony has absolutely nailed it on the PRS-350. And being the flagship pocket reader of Sony, the e-reader [...]

Sony PlayStation Vita Is Here
Sony has unveiled their Next Generation PlayStation. The all new Handheld Portable device is known as the Sony PlayStation Vita. This new PlayStation initially was known as the NGP (Next Generation PlayStation) and didn’t even have a price tag, but that’s not the case now, the handheld device has a name now, along with a price tag. The console was unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo electronics expos in Los Angeles.
The all new Sony PlayStation Vita is the heir of Sony’s previous PlayStation Portable. The new Vita will be having a price tag of $249 for its Wi-Fi only edition, and the Wi-Fi and 3G version of the same will be priced at somewhere around $299.
“Vita” in Latin means “Life”, and that’s what clarify the meaning of its name and reflects [...]

Apple iPad 2 – now with full HDMI AV output compatibility
One big feature on the Apple iPad 2 that will certainly burn the competition is full HDMI AV output compatibility. Through a dock cable which costs $39, this device can mirror the output to TV through HDMI connection. Supported resolution can go up to 1080p but most of the apps and video playback will not go beyond 720p. Unlike the previous solutions of video-out for the Apple iPad, this cord doesn’t limits the users for just presentations or video playback. Everything that you see on the display is mirrored on the TV and it includes the home screen, games, photos, and video. Competitors like Motorola Xoom and RIM PlayBook have been using HDMI compatibility concept as the main advantage over Apple [...]

Earbud headphones review of Turtle Beach Ear Force DSS
Over the years, there have been a lot of changes in the surround sound headphone market made for video games. Turtle Beach has come up with Ear Force DSS, which does a pretty good job at giving you a surround sound effect through your standard earbud headphones set.
These types of products have started arriving now and I get a lot of questions in my inbox asking me whether it is possible to get a surround sound effect for headphones from such devices. I would say that the Turtle Beach Ear Force DSS gets you really close to 7.1 surround sound for headphones but setting it up is not that easy. This gadget is quite small and it will easily fit in the palm of your hand but when you are done connecting it, there will be a lot of wires connected. It is really [...]

Kanex XD – Turn your iMac in to an entertainment hub
Kanex XD is a tiny box which is used to connect your gaming console to the huge iMac display to get videos on the computer's screen. This lets you use your 27 inch iMac as an entertainment hub for playing games or watching the other content from PS3 or Xbox 360. The cost of this device is $150 and seems a bit high for what it has to offer. I wish the iMac had an HDMI port built in. Standard Windows all-in-ones come with HDMI ports and hence connecting consoles to it is pretty easy.
Kanex XD is 1.2 inches high, 3.25 inches deep and 2.2 inches wide. It is a tiny silver colored metal box. The tiny gadget has three ports – HDMI, Mini DisplayPort and power connect. You don't need any software for installation but the setup needs to go through a few steps.
First, you will have to set the [...]

Nintendo DSi – Solid portable gaming system
It is been around four and half years since the release of Nintendo DS and that console sold like hot cakes in the market with about hundred million units sold worldwide. Some argue that Sony’s PSP is much more popular than the Nintendo’s product but stats reveal that it has sold just 50 million units. Nintendo DSi is the third installment of DS which we first saw in November 2004. DS Lite came in June 2006 the company did lots of changes to the console, including the design. Performance too is significantly better.
There were rumors around that Nintendo would be coming out with another iteration soon and these were proved to be true, as they brought in Nintendo DSi to the market. [...]

Konnet PS3 and Xbox 360 Power Pyramid – for charging and storing your controllers
Konnet is not a new name in the market, we have previous seen lots of its Power Pyramid charging gadgets. I previously got to review the one which takes four wireless Xbox 360 controllers at a time and the one which takes four PS3 controllers. This model that I have got here can charge both PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers wirelessly. This is made for gamers who own both the gaming consoles and don’t want to invest in 2 separate devices.
You can charge the wireless PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers through USB but with the Konnet PS3 and Xbox 360 Power Pyramid, you will stay away from the cable clutter and charge the controllers without the switching the respective consoles on. Just like most charging stations, the one thing which I really liked was that you can use this for charging as well as [...]

Tritton AX900 – Excellent audio quality
When it comes to gaming accessories, it is the headset market which is growing rapidly. Most modern consoles have the ability to give 5.1 surround sound and there are tons of options in the market for such headsets now. I hadn’t seen a good 5.1 surround sound yet in my labs till I set my eyes on the Tritton AX900. There are two models in released simultaneously by the manufacturer, the AX 720 and 900. Both of them are identical and the only difference is that the latter comes with a box which gives you increased compatibility.
Before this, I checked out the AX Pro 5.1 and though the performance was good, I was turned off because of the connections that had to be made for it. Connectivity, thankfully, has been slashed for this model but the user experience is pretty much the same. Tritton [...]

Turtle Beach Ear Force PX21 – No 5.1 surround sound support
When it comes to gaming, I prefer that no one comes between my games and me. Hence, I hesitate to play games during the day time because I share my living space and hence there are bound to be a lot of interruptions. There are a lot of headsets coming out in the markets for night gaming owls like me. This headset is the successor to the Turtle Beach Ear Force P21 which we had last year. I liked it but it didn’t have chat support for my Xbox 360. Turtle Beach has come out with PX21 and though it doesn’t support 5.1 surround sound yet, there is support for Mac, PC and two consoles: PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
This pair costs $80 and I will recommend it to you if you don’t mind stereo only playback and are looking for universal compatibility. This set will satisfy all your voice chat [...]

NetGear WNHDEB111 HD Gaming Wireless N Networking Kit
The market place is getting constantly invaded with home wireless products and demand for high speed wireless performance is rising. In these days of online gaming and HD video streaming, 802.11 routers might not be enough because most of these products use 2.4 GHz frequency which shares along with 802.11 b/g routers and other devices which are often used at home like cordless phones, printers and Bluetooth headsets. Band of 2.4 GHz is cluttered right now and due to the interference of signal, speed might get slow.
Interference is area dependant and the number of devices also matter. So if you move the networking gear to band of 5 GHz which is not as crowded, you might get better performance. This is the system that is followed by NetGear HD/ Gaming Wireless- N Networking Kit which costs [...]
