LG HBS-700 is an unusual looking good sounding stereo Bluetooth headset, which is designed for frequent travelers and offers long battery life and good sound quality. It features an ergonomic behind the neck design, making it one of the most comfortable Bluetooth headsets in the market offering good sound quality at an affordable price. LG Company has maintained a good reputation in the market by providing the consumers with plenty of high end Bluetooth headsets from small HBS-200 to gym friendly HBS-250. It continues to provide the same by launching HBS-700 with quite a lot of innovative improvements, making it distinctive from previous models. Bluetooth headphones review of Motorola CommandOne
Bluetooth headphones review of Motorola CommandOne
Motorola is more known for its Android phones these days but this manufacturer also makes accessories like Bluetooth headsets. One of the recent products is Motorola CommandOne; it has Motorola’s own CrystalTalk technology of noise cancellation with A2DP streaming, voice prompts and multipoint. It is compatible with mobile app which lets you send/receive the text messages without even touching the handset. Motorola CommandOne costs $99.99 retail. There is nothing spectacular about the Motorola CommandOne design. Its looks are typical of a Bluetooth headsets with 2.13 inches length, 0.43 inch thickness and 0.73 inch width. The headset is rectangular shaped and it is clad in gray shiny plastic on its front. The sides are covered in rubber soft material. This device is also curved a  [...]

Motorola Oasis – Great comfort
Motorola Oasis – Great comfort
Motorola is not a new manufacturer to the world of Bluetooth headsets, they have been around for a while and have made some great quality products in the past like Motorola HX1and Motorola H700. But these two products haven’t be as comfortable as some of the best headsets in the industry. For the Motorola Oasis, the company has put comfort ahead of everything else and apart from the ergonomics, there is not much to like in this device. The feature set is below par and the sound quality too is not as good as competition. Priced at $79.99, I won’t say this is the best headset around. Instead, I would recommend you to spend $20 more and get the Voyager Pro Plus which is a much better headset. Motorola gives a magnetic hinge which locks in to the place securely when you fold it in or out. Motorola  [...]

Nokia BH-804 – Costlier than competition
Nokia BH-804 – Costlier than competition
Bluetooth headsets have become very popular now and they are available in all kinds of sizes. Hence, people are getting more choosey about them. They prefer devices that are very small in size since big headsets look ugly. Nokia previously made the BH-800 which was a very sleek and cool Bluetooth headset. Now this company is back with Nokia BH-804, which is another great device but a bit costly. The device doesn’t feel too secure in the ear but I still found it quite comfortable and the sound quality too is pretty decent. The only problem is the price, the Nokia BH-804 will put you back by $144 which is a bit more than what competition is offering. Nokia BH-804 is the smallest headset I have ever seen in my labs till now. The device is 0.53 inch wide, 0.23 inch thick and 1.65 inches long.  [...]

Nokia BH-905 – Expensive but worth the buck
Nokia BH-905 – Expensive but worth the buck
Nokia BH-905 is a very comfortable over the ear headphones style design. On the top, there is a padded headband. The cushion on the band makes things really comfortable on the head. The ear pads too have this cushioning which makes your ears feel good. The two ear modules are connected through two extendable bands. The ear pads also rotate for keeping the set flat while traveling. Most of the controls of the Nokia BH-905 are located on the right ear pad. On the top, there is a multifunction call button and there is also the play/pause key. On the sides, there is the fast forward and rewind buttons. On the bottom of this ear piece, there is the volume rocker along with the audio cable connector for mobile phones that don’t have Bluetooth. This set can also be used with music players. Nokia  [...]

BlueAnt T1 – Good Wind Armour Technology
BlueAnt T1 – Good Wind Armour Technology
If you'd ask me to describe the BlueAnt T1 in one word, it is 'rugged'. It has Wind Armour Technology gives you clear quality even in windy conditions. In my tests, there were no echoes and its noise cancellation feature is quite good in battling external noise. This device has all the commands that you'd look for in the manufacturers BlueAnt S4 Bluetooth speaker device made for cars. You need to keep your phone close because it imports the phone contacts and also has voice dialing support. To make the headset rugged, the company has given protective rubber casings. This device will put you back by $80 and according to me, T1 is the best Bluetooth device by this company till date. Aesthetically speaking, the BlueAnt T1 is quite compact; its mechanical looks and angular facade makes it look  [...]

Sound ID 510 Blutooth headset – iPhone companion
Sound ID 510 Blutooth headset – iPhone companion
There are apps for a lot of things these days and the latest product to have one is Bluetooth headsets. I previously got to review the BlueAny Q1, it had an Android app but this is the first Bluetooth headset in my labs to come with an iPhone all. The Android app on the Q1 is used basically for reading the incoming text messages but the iPhone is more versatile and gives you more functions. For instance, it enhances the experience of your headset, fine tunes the audio quality and also has a unique feature called headset locater. But lets talk about the actual headset first. 510 belongs to SoundID and it has three mics to keep the sound out, a mode called environment awarness, and also multiple ear fittings for better comfort. If you own an iPhone, you won't find a better headset than this.  [...]

Plantronics Explorer 395 – Entry level Bluetooth headset
Plantronics Explorer 395 – Entry level Bluetooth headset
Plantronics is not a new name in the Bluetooth headset market. In fact, if you love using Bluetooth headsets, then Plantronics is probably your favorite brand. Before this, I got to check out Plantronics Voyager Pro and Plantronics Discovery 975 both of which have been quite impressive. The manufacturer also makes basic headsets for people don’t have a lot of money or who don’t have to spend a lot on such devices. Plantronics Explorer 395 is an entry level headset which may not perform as well as its higher end siblings but the audio quality is decent and it is easy to use. This gadget costs $49.95. Plantronics Explorer 395 has a blocky design which is typical in a Bluetooth headset. The device is two inches long, 0.4 inch thick and 0.7 inch wide. It is rectangular except for the narrow  [...]

Bluefox Extreme BF-301v – Issues with design
Bluefox Extreme BF-301v – Issues with design
Before this, I got to check out the BlueAnt V1 way back in 2008 and I was quite impressed by the voice user interface of the headset. This was the first Bluetooth headset controlled by voice. That headset was later replaced by BlueAnt. It got really popular in the market and hence other manufacturer’s are bound to create rip offs. Bluefox Extreme BF-301v is a by product of a similar idea. It comes with voice recognition feature which lets you control lots of features, one of them being the ability to search Microsoft’s Bing service through voice. This headset costs $65 and has good value for money considering the features like A2DP and great audio quality that it has to offer. Bluefox Extreme BF-301v is far from a compact headset; it is quite big as compared to other headsets in the  [...]
